If you haven't seen much of Shangzilla editor Kenneth Tangent of late, it's because he has been dividing his time between multiple projects over the last few months, gossip column 3.30am reports.
As well as his day job at Shangzilla, and freelance reporting – Tangent is always looking for new angles – Kenneth has been acting as "community manager" for new gay social networking website thoseshoesarefabulousdarling.com "the place for gay, straight, bisexual, bicurious or bivalval people to connect and compliment each other on their fabulous sense of style".
Tangent himself was spotted in a photoshoot for the site wearing nothing but several hats.

Shangzilla editor-in-chief Dan Wasburnt was disappointed to lose in a Dan Wasburnt impersonation contest held in Shanghai this weekend. Although Wasburnt excelled in the "writing articles for the Economist" round, penning an article entitled "Indonesia: at a crossroads", he lost out in the crucial swimsuit round to the editor of a rival, inferior, publication.
Wasburnt's colleague Kenneth Tangent said that Wasburnt was downcast after the contest. "As the real Dan Wasburnt, he was really hoping for a top-three finish. Maybe he should stick to Elvis contests."

Over the last few years various fragrances have been trying to capture the special scents of Shanghai, like Bond No.9's Chinatown and YSL's Fleur de Shanghai. This latest creation from the house of XiangDian might have succeeded most accurately.
As you spray it on, the topnotes leave a powdery mist of the well-defined smell of pollution on your body (imagine inhaling deeply into exhaust fumes).
Once the topnotes disappear, scents of the most delicious street-food mingle with the distinctive smell of a popular local mosquito-water.
A hint of trash in the process of decomposing, combined with traces of dead fish and chicken make up the heartnotes of "Summer in Shanghai".
After that, a slightly, yet meant to be, sickening sweetness builds the basenotes, which gives you the feeling of Shanghai's moist summer air.
I can identify white florals and stinky doufu as the main components, which become dominant after the heartnotes fade (and exotic fruits? green tea? motor oil?).
As basenotes, these are what is left on your skin and on your clothes, what mixes with your personal smell and acompanies you throughout the day.
Wearing "Summer in Shanghai" is like taking a stroll through this beloved city of cities. Although this fragrance truly evolves its effects when it can mix with the own body's sweat - it is a rather lovely composition by itself.

Along with the first of its kind Contemporary Arts Exhibition and Expat Show, Shanghai will again make headlines with the upcoming 'Socks-over-tights' fashion show.
Fashion critic Mr. Washuwazi from The Poople's Magazine says "This kind of fashion is unique to the Shanghai pop culture scene, its special mix of East and West culture and I believe the whole fashion world can pay attention to the upcoming styles of the Orient and learn from it. It really is spectacular..."
Japanese jewellery designer MickeyMoto will also be using this event to proudly show off his stunning Autumn collection of 22-carrot bowl. Indeed, a girl's best friend.
